ASELSAN offers smart, efficient, safe and reliable solutions in the areas
of:
• traction and power distribution,
• train control and management
• mainline and urban signaling
thanks to its specific products and systems, which are developed by it in
the fields of railway vehicles and signaling.
Under this scope, specific projects are carried out to develop Traction
Motor Control/Drive Units, Auxiliary Power Units, Train Control and Management
Systems, and Mainline/Urban Signaling Systems together with
system engineering, design, production, test and commissioning.
CESUR (Traction Motor Control / Drive Unit)
Driven by modular architecture, new generation IGBT technology and
DSP based control electronics are designed and manufactured for light
rail vehicles, subways, locomotives and regional trains. Thanks to advanced
and flexible control algorithms, different types of AC motors can be
controlled with high efficiency and precision. Regenerative braking, slip/
slide elimination, parallel AC engine control, redundant operation, high
current and voltage protection, and high efficiency switching techniques
are the major algorithms which have been developed specifically. CESUR
with its high efficiency ratio; has been developed in compliance with the
rail vehicle standards such as EN50155, EN50125, EN50163, EN50121,
EN61287, EN61377.
Auxiliary Power Units
The auxiliary power units developed for light rail vehicles, metros, locomotives
and regional trains are fed from the input voltage to supply
energy to various AC and DC loads on the vehicle. The units which include
SiC and IGBT technology developed by ASELSAN are designed and
produced with low / high frequency, low / high voltage, voltage frequency
ratio deviation, continuous repeated load take off, sudden changes
in line voltage and loads, disconnection of the supply voltage protected
from excessive harmonics and phase losses.
Train Control and Management System (TCMS)
Under the Train Control and Management System, computer hardware
and software and control algorithms having higher safety and reliability
levels, which are a part of the most important components of the
railway vehicles, are developed. The Train Control and Management
System computer, which is designated in a modular structure, provides
higher safety and reliability levels, which are defined by the internationally
recognized standards (such as IEC61508 and EN50155) for the
railway vehicles and are designed in a totally specific condition through
its architecture, control, safety and reliability algorithms, hardware and
embedded software.
The system achieves control and management of train brakes, traction,
doors, heating, ventilation and air conditioners (HVAC), passenger information
and other subsystems via TCMS, which comprises specific hardware,
algorithms and software programs.
Main Line and Urban Signaling Systems
With the Urban Rail Transport Signaling Systems developed based on
Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) technique, cost efficiency,
safety, security, efficiency, punctuality and high carrying capacity are
provided for today’s modern and intense city rail transportation systems.
Safe, efficient and cost effective solutions are proposed by Onboard ERTMS
Level 1 and 2 Systems, which have been developed for the main line
rail vehicles.
